Bangor Recreation Center

The Bangor Recreation Center one-stop shop designed to meet all of your leisure needs!

OPEN to all active duty, reservists, retirees, veterans with Health ID, DoW employees, their families and their guests.
Patrons 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.
Patrons 13 and over are permitted to utilize all areas, except those designated for 18 years and older.

KIDS ZONE
The indoor playground is available for little ones to climb around. Drop in anytime the Recreation Center is open.

The Bangor Recreation Center is your outdoor recreation stop for enjoying the Pacific Northwest outdoors year-round. We cater to many levels of outdoor recreation, from the casual user, to those who need to experience extreme outdoor adventure pursuits, and fitness enthusiasts seeking the challenge of human-powered off-road action. Boats, kayaks/canoes, mountain bikes, BBQs, camping gear, canopies, tables, chairs and more are available for rent!

VEHICLE STORAGE
We have storage for vehicles from 10 to 40 feet within a fenced, secured area, lighted, paved lot and 24/7 gated access. Call for more information and space availability.

The Wheels & Deals parking lot is located along Ohio Street, the main street leading into Bangor's shopping, recreation and entertainment hub. Your car, truck, motorcycle, boat, or recreation vehicle will get great exposure to potential buyers! More than 2 million patrons visited the NEX, Commissary, and surrounding MWR facilities in the past year.

Reservations are available for the day-use pavilion at our three recreation areas, each perfectly located on the water:

CAMP MCKEAN RECREATION AREA
Camp McKean is located five miles west of Naval Base Kitsap Bremerton along the Kitsap Lake shoreline. The park is primarily for summer day use in support of Navy commands and authorized Fleet & Family Readiness patrons.
