Bangor Child Development Center Opens Fall 2026

Naval Base Kitsap is excited to announce the phased opening plan for the new Bangor Child Development Center (CDC) starting October 2026! This state-of-the-art facility represents a major investment in quality, accessible childcare for our military community, ultimately supporting 204 children across three phased launches.

Each phase includes the onboarding of fully trained staff and parent orientation sessions to ensure the highest standard of care.

  • Phase 1 (October 2026): Opens 5 classrooms  
  • Phase 2 (Nov. 16, 2026): Opens 5 classrooms  
  • Phase 3 (Jan. 4, 2027): Opens the final 6 classrooms
