Twin Lakes' Upper and Lower Lakes are open from May 1 - September 30 for day use and are accessible by car or on foot. Popular activities at the lake include fishing, boating and wildlife viewing.

It is always a good idea to check in at the Recreation office for information on the lakes before heading out.

The lakes can be reached by private automobile on a single lane gravel road with pullouts. Drive time from the front gate is approximately 25 minutes. Speed limit is 15 mph and drivers are encouraged to use extreme caution. Twin Lakes can also be reached by hiking trails, which are approximately 4 miles from the Coho Campgrounds.

Amenities at the lake include shelter house with a wood burning stove, tables and chairs (electricity and potable water is not available). There are also additional picnic tables and a pit toilet for your convenience.

Rowboats, canoes and kayaks for your use on the lakes are available to rent. No personal boats are authorized. The Upper Lake is stocked several times a year and provides some of the best fishing in the area.

During the summer, the lakes are staffed on weekends. Small items and supplies can be purchased there, including bottled water, sodas, candy, some fishing supplies, worms, and fishing rods. You may also get your Washington State Fishing License here. In the event the lake is not staffed, these items can also be purchased at the on-site store, located at the Recreation Office, Bldg. #4 in the main camp area.

Please help us keep the lake in its natural state by not swimming or bringing floats to use in the water.
