The UVA provides crisis intervention, referral and ongoing support to adult sexual assault victims, from initial report to final conclusion of the case. Personnel who are interested in serving as UVAs are encouraged to volunteer for this collateral duty assignment. Every unit must have two UVAs at a minimum.
